The Learning World experience is one in which students acquire knowledge and attain achievement academically and socially on a daily basis. Students are provided instruction in Language Arts, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, and Social Skills. The instruction is highly interactive and technology is incorporated throughout. Students engage in whole group, small group, and one on one instruction. Students move from station to station during "Learning World Activities" as they work independently, and with peers to assess and substantiate their learning of a given lesson. A multi-modal approach is consistently used to ensure that students of various learning styles have access to the lesson. Proactive strategies and interventions are implemented to address various academic and/or behavioral needs. Our behavior management system provides the means for curtailing and modifying negative behaviors. Students earn incentives and participate in extracurricular activities as they adhere to school and classroom procedures and rules.
